Timing and anticipation is everything. I was fortunate to find this location as the balloons were making their slow passage over the thousands of temples upon The Plain of Bagan in Myanmar. On our way to Inle Lake from Hsipaw, our bus stopped before even leaving town at this restaurant so everyone could stock up for the overnight journey. I spotted this monk and couldn't resist. I coudn't believe the scene in front of me; the grinder he was using to finish these Buddhas is extremely loud and high pitched. The amount of dust he must constantly breathe must damage his lungs. Unlike the too often photographed Inle Lake fisherman posing for tourist photos, this kid is the real deal. The feat of balancing while rowing with one leg is impressive. Travel Photography, Photo, Burma, Burmese, Myanmar
